Juventus Is Coming For Chelsea’s Jorginho; Is Billy Ready?

Maurizio Sarri is coming for his son. Juventus have shown interest in signing Chelsea’s vice-captain, Jorginho. And to get him they are ready to give up Milarem Pjanic.

Though Jorginho has grown to be one of the most likable players by the fans and his teammates, Chelsea might look to cash in on him during the summer. Mainly because they have youngster Billy Gilmour who is quickly filling the void in midfield when Jorginho is absent. His style of play is nearly the same as Jorginho but without a bit of more flair and confidence with and without the ball.

But is he ready? Mature enough to be handed a first eleven start? If Jorginho leaves, Chelsea will have to play with Gilmour as the Central midfielder.

The simple answer, yes. Gilmour has had two starts with the Chelsea first eleven, and in both games, he has been the man of the match. Jorginho is good, but Gilmour is better. He is younger and hungrier. Much like Lampard’s 2020 team, Gilmour is giving it his all to break out and become a top player in Europe.

So Lampard is likely to accept a deal that sees Jorginho leave. Sarri will likely pay big bucks to reunite with the player he too with him from Napoli before leaving him in Chelsea.

What Does Pjanic Bring To Chelsea?

Chelsea does not need Pjanic, with Kovacic, Loftus Cheek, Mason and Barkley helping out Gilmour and Kante, there is no need for Pjanic. But as recent injury woes have proven, Chelsea still needs depth.

Pjanic can make a great addition and bring in enough creativity during the games he features.

More immediate signing needed by Lampard is for goalkeeper and striker. Kepa has lacked consistency and Chelsea is looking to offload him and bring in, reportedly, the superb Oblak, Atletico goalkeeper. Additionally, though Abraham has proven adequate in bringing in the goals, Lampard requires him to have additional support up there.
